Very Inspiring Blogger Award

very-inspiring-blogger-award

I’m a bit behind on accepting this award from the lovely Ann St. Vincent. She was gracious enough to list me among ten other inspiring men of the blogosphere and I couldn’t be more delighted. She is an inspiration herself and her writing is always entertaining and often thought provoking. It has been a couple years since I’ve received this award, last time from the uber-sexy G at filledandfooled.

I’d like to pass on the award to a few of the blogs that I find inspiring and I’m sure you will too. In no particular order:

1. The Woman Invisible
2. Jaded Mess
3. Thirteen Years In
4. Secret Thoughts of a Very Private Gentleman
5. Curing Yellow Fever
6. Seattle Poly Chick
7. You Linger Like a Haunting Refrain
8. Cara Thereon
9. A Dissolute Life Means…
10. Creative Noodling

If these wonderful bloggers choose to accept, please nominate up to 15 more inspiring bloggers. Also, please answer the questions below that were passed on by Ann.

1. Who is your favorite public figure?
I can’t help to steal Ann’s answer of the Dalai Lama

2. What do you like most?
Peace and quiet. It’s difficult to find at time, and the most noise seems to come from my own mind. I’m not practicing yoga which is a good way to find such a thing.

3. Do you follow trends?
Typically I go out of my way to avoid trends. If it is popular, it isn’t for me. On the other hand there are things I prefer or enjoy that happen to be trendy and I’m not going to change my ways that easily. I really just want to be an individual.

4. What do you do when someone gets angry?
I loathe confrontation so I usually shy away from angry people and in turn try to keep my own anger in check.

5. What have you loved the most?
Art in its many forms.

6. Do you have causes?
Sex positivity.

7. What quality do you admire the most?
Creativity. Everyone has some level of creativity, learn to develop it.

Thank you again Ann, and please take time to check out the blogs I mentioned.

Very Inspiring Blogger Award 2013

very-inspiring

I’m quite late getting to this, but without further ado, I’d like to share with you all that the lovely G has awarded me with the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. If you’ve not read anything from her, you’re seriously missing out… her stories are hot, hot, hot and best of all, most of them real. And honest. And that is why I am incredibly honored that she would find me, or at least my blog to be inspiring. Thank you G.

In accordance with the rules of receiving this award I am to state 7 facts about myself and to suggest 15 fellow bloggers who deserve the award too. Of course, as a recipient you’re supposed to link back to the blogger that awarded you… which I will do happily. If you’re reading me, you should also be reading G. Get on it.

Now on to the 7 facts!
Fact 1. I lettered in Jr. High School (8th Grade) in choir.

Fact 2. I once tried running away from home but I left without any shoes on. After my feet really started to hurt I went back home and discovered that nobody even knew I was gone, so I gave up. What’s the point in running away if nobody knows you’re missing. Granted I wasn’t gone long, but that’s not the point. Or is it?

Fact 3. I F-ing LOVE cookies. If I were blue, I’d be Cookie Monster but less messy. That guy does a shitty job of eating cookies IMHO. Ginger Snaps are my favorite.

Fact 4. I’m color blind. I’m not stupid though. People always ask stupid question when you tell them that you’re color blind,,. “What color is the grass?” “How do you know when to stop at a traffic light?” Color Blindness is generally relative – I just don’t see colors the same way other people do.

Fact 5. I went to Germany once to visit my girlfriend at the time that was visiting her family. She broke up with me while we were there. Harsh. Reason? I was “more like a brother to her now.” Does she kiss her stupid brother? Maybe.

Fact 6. On occasion I drive either pantsless or fully nude. Sometimes I get carried away. One time someone honked and gave me a “thumbs up.”

Fact 7. I’m a HUGE Star Wars fanboy… okay, well maybe not as huge as I used to be, but adulthood can do that to you. I can quote the entire original trilogy, can name spaceships and characters you’ve probably never heard of, and still want a Stormtrooper suit that I can wear. Not necessarily to a convention, I just want to wear it because it is cool.

Who inspires me? I don’t read as many blogs as I would like to and i don’t know if very many of these people read me or “does awards” but if you want to know what inspires me, these are good places to start… from writing to photos and videos, it’s pretty much all NSFW. Maybe they’re not all blogs in the traditional sense, but they are all worth a look.
