Parting Clouds

Heaven can be found
Parting clouds with gentle kiss
Whispers bring the rain

Earthquakes

The earth moved
When our bodies met
The first time
And
Each
Thereafter
And then it cracked
With volcanic force
From moans
And
Muffled
Laughter

Committed

At the base he wore a ring
A sign of his commitment
Promises of everything
When her release was given

She held it in her dainty hand
He grinned and swelled with pride
She took him by the metal band
And sunk him deep inside

Backwoods

Deep in the backwoods
Little bird perched on tall pine
Singing to her mate

Dominoes

Caressing their surface
And counting the dots
Playing like a child
Standing them tall and proud
These ivory dominoes
Erected like a tower
Or a pedestal
Then with a gentle push
Loudly they toppled

The Hunt

Into the wild we wander
Not running, but searching
Patiently hunting
I with my spear
She with her bow

Calm fills the forest
Hearts race before the kill
Eyes meet, waiting
Spear loosed
Arrows take flight

Cries between the trees
Our prey has fallen
Breathlessly proud
Spear griped tight
Bow caressed

Juliet

“But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?”
“It is the east…”

Oh, how the sun warms my heart as it kisses my naked skin

“Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon”

Slowly I rise to meet thee…
And with my spear, the moon impale

“Who is already sick and pale with grief”

Glistening from feverish sweat,
Body wracked with want; gasping

“That thou, her maid, art far more fair than she.”

Visions of thee met with eruptive white of day

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Don’t pant less when you’re pant-less
Don’t take it slow, go fast
Don’t ease off, please do it hard
I know I might not last
Just give it all you’ve got
Just make it worth your while
Just use me up and spit me out
And give yourself a smile

The Deep End

Bring your rings
And bring your balls
And various other toys
Now’s the time
To play and laugh
And share in all the joys
Test the waters
Before you swim
Frolic in the shallow end
Once you’re soaked
And dripping wet
To the deep end
You’re bound to get
Plunge as deep
As you can go
Hold your breath
Before you blow

And don’t forget a towel.

Glaciers

Like a glacier in reverse
His hands run up her legs
Slowly making their way
Eons between tip and origin
Ridges of his fingerprints
Creating an uphill flow
Clinging to the edge
Her chair a mighty precipice
He’s melting her body
An unndeniable global warming
Then the cataclysmic splash
As she falls to the sea
